ATTENDANCE POLICY

To create cohesiveness, consistency, and reliability, as well as to enable team “gel”, player participation is a key element to team success. For these reasons, the following attendance requirement is in effect for each paid season.  A season is classified as (fall, winter, spring, or summer):

Summer fall, and spring attendance policy:
1. Cannot miss more than 1 practice as scheduled.
2. Cannot miss more than 1 tournament as scheduled.

Winter attendance policy:

Winter season does not consist of any tournaments so attendance policy for winter stipulates player cannot miss more than 2 practices.

Seasons:

Winter** Dec 8 - March 9  (10  x 2 hour practice sessions)

Spring** March 10 - May 31 (3-4 tournaments- Big Show/ECTB/MSI)

Summer** June 1 - Aug 31 (5-7 tournaments- Ripken/Big Show/InTheNet/ECTB/MSI)

Fall** Sept 1 - Nov 15 (6-7 tournaments- Ripken/Big Show/InTheNet/ECTB/MSI)

Based on the above, Kings will abide by the following:

There will be a reserve list of not more than 2 players in the event of sickness/injury/vacation schedule for our fall season. Additionally, we will assess a $25/practice fee for any temporary player if they wish to practice with us. This also gives temporary players an opportunity to learn signals and team members. If they end up playing in our scheduled tournaments, they will pay a one-off tournament fee between $105 -$180 depending on the tournament. These funds will go toward additional resources to the team. Additionally, the designated temporary player or players will only be called into a tournament if we have any one of the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: We can pull one of the 2 reserve players in if at any point in a tournament, we have only 9 players. Example- if we had a 9 person team for a Friday tournament and we pull 1 player in to make it 10, then another King player comes back on Saturday and Sunday, we play 11 kids, and our temp player continues to play with us for the remainder of the tournament.  It would be expected that if this were the scenario, play time would be impacted for the team.

Scenario 2: We can pull two of the 2 reserve players in if at any point in a tournament, we have only 8 players. Example- if we had an 8 person team for a Friday tournament and we pull 2 players in to make it 10, then another King player comes back on Saturday and Sunday, we play 11 kids, and our temp player continues to play with us for the remainder of the tournament.  It would be expected that if this were the scenario, play time would be impacted for the team.

If for any reason, any one of our 12 full time players either cannot commit to the required attendance or circumstances arise where they cannot fulfill their player obligations, we can offer a temporary player full member status to fulfill our obligation of having a full 12-member fall roster. If they are offered a spot on the team, they will be offered a prorated membership for the season cost for fairness. Additionally, a uniform can be purchased by the added player family.

Deciding on the players: Coaches can bring their designated player list to the coaches and of the coaches, the majority vote between coaches wins.
